Since I played Monopoly Deluxe during a rainy evening recently , I can share my experiences with you.
I had to install DOSbox to play Monopoly on my Windows 7 laptop. The default sound settings of the game didn't work, so I changed them to be able to hear sounds and music.
Monopoly Deluxe is a very faithful computer adaptation of to the original board game. The look of the board, pieces and cards are almost as in the original. You can play using official rules or you can modify rules using multiple options.
Graphics and sound is dated, but sufficient for me to play. User Interface could be more intuitive, since it took me a while to understand how to trade with other players. The game is stable and works without errors and crashes.
Overall, I think that I like the retro look and feel of this game and I'll play it from time to time in the future.

I've bought, owned, and played MANY different versions of Monopoly for PC. But, this one is the BEST BY FAR. Sure, it doesn't have all of the eye-candy of the newer incarnations of the game, but it has a *LOT* more features.. and much better gameplay IM(NotSo)HO.
I have 'Monopoly 3' (US and UK editions), 'Monopoly by Parker Brothers' (distributed by GameHouse), 'Monopoly CD' (by Westwood), Monopoly for Android (by EA Mobile) several other more obscure versions of the game for PC, as well as the WinDoZe 3.x port of Monopoly Deluxe for DOS (Monopoly Deluxe for Windows).
Monopoly Deluxe for DOS BEATS them all, by far. Hell, the WinDoZe port of the exact same game even *LACKS* numerous features that the DOS version has! :duh:
Anyhow, two thumbs up.. the best version of Monopoly for PC EVER, and a blast to play in DOSBox with DOSBox's 'Turbo Mode' enabled!

In this video lesson, I want to show you how you can easily simplify this beautiful song on acoustic guitar using the fingerstyle technique. If you are a beginner and want to learn how to play something really cool, make sure you watch the video lesson and learn how to play this awesome song. Today I will tell you one thing that is going to change the way you think about learning and playing the guitar. This thing is: EVERYTHING CAN BE SIMPLIFIED.

I know it sounds pretty straightforward, right, yet many guitar players fail to understand this concept. They believe they know how to make a song simple, but practically, all they do is play the song slower. Trust me, playing a song at a slower speed doesn’t make it easier.

For me, simplifying a song means eliminating one or more musical elements so that all you are left with is one musical aspect of the song. Music is made of three elements: Harmony, rhythm, and melody. By eliminating one or two of these elements, you are not only simplifying the song, but you are also becoming aware of its structure.

Step 1 – Start with the melody.

One of the most common ways to simplify a song is by eliminating the harmony (chords) and learning the melody individually. I personally think that learning the melody as the first step will help you memorize the rhythm and chords easily. If you are a beginner, it’s probably the easiest way to get started with a song.

Autumn Leaves melody is straightforward and easy to memorize. This acoustic guitar arrangement focuses.

As you notice, the guitar tab above only shows Autumn Leaves melody played on acoustic guitar. The melody is quite “jumpy,” so I highly recommend you really learn it step by step and memorize the frets and notes to play.

One thing I would also consider is the “alternate fingering” with the right hand. Pluck the melody starting with the index finger and then always alternate between index and middle. The fingerstyle pattern will change a little when we add the bass note, but it will be easy for you to play this simple melody with alternating index and middle finger.

Step 2 – Add the bass note.

Once you practiced the melody and learn it by heart, it is time to add the bass note. The bass note will add more texture to the song and. Also, the chords will come up more clearly, and we start hearing the chord progression.

We are still only playing one single bass note per chord, but the difference is pretty clear. The acoustic guitar tab will look like that.

Now that we added the bass note, the guitar tab looks more “busy” and reach. I can guarantee you that even though we added just one bass note, the song will sound completely different.

If you are a beginner guitar player, you will probably find this stage pretty challenging, so I highly recommend you practice one note at a time and slowly familiarize yourself with the fingerstyle pattern.

As we add the bass note, your plucking will be slightly different. You have to pluck some strings with the thumb simultaneously with the melody, so a little bit of time to adjust is required. Don’t get frustrated if you struggle at the beginning. Keep pushing forward, and you will be fine!

Step 3 – Add chords

Once you really feel like adding the ultimate touch to this awesome acoustic guitar melody, you can definitely start working on chords and harmony.

Let me show you a simple way to add a few chords to Autumn Leaves.

I still want to keep things pretty simple, so I am not going crazy with chords. I will only add a few notes here and there to spice up the harmony and make it sound less basic and more advanced. Check it out!

Few words about Autumn Leaves chord progression and its structure. Like much standard Jazz, this song follows a prevalent chord progression found in hundreds of Jazz songs. It goes as follow:

Am7 – D7 – Gmaj7 – Cmaj7 – F#min7b5 – B7 – Em

Many guitar players would refer to this chord progression as II – V – I – IV – VII – V – I.

Hello everyone, yesterday my friend asked me to help him to eliminate a HASP dongle from his PC. His PC was installed Strand7 and it needs a USB dongle which has type HASP to work exactly. I accepted his request to help him. I noticed that his PC was installed Windows 7 64 bit Professional.
I searched on Internet and read many web pages regarding dongle emulator. I found a emulator named EDGEHASP2007 but unfortunately it didn’t work on Windows 7 64 bit. Then, I continued searching on Internet and I found HASPHL2010 but it is not free so I didn’t try it. I thought I will give up but I still hope I can find a free emulator. Fortunately, I found this page https://www.techidiots.net/notes/emulate-hasp-hl-pro-1/emulate-hasp-hl-pro describing some steps for installing MultiKey emulator but it noted that you must re-install your software on Windows XP 32 bit after which you must use some tools to dump HASP key and create registry file. Because I didn’t have Windows XP I cannot follow this method. I searched on Internet again and I found this tool [Universal HASP SRM / HL / 4 / Hardlock Dongle Dumper v.1.3]. It can dump HASP key and create registry file for you altogether. It’s a awesome tool made by rengteam. Great thanks to rengteam. Finally, I managed to install MultiKey USB Dongle Emulator.

Now, I want to write some steps here:

Note: I cloned successfully all types of dongles with MultiKey Emulator. The most important step is that you must generate exact registry file. If you have any problem, please drop a comment.

To find your key it is necessary to start protected software.

3. Create registry file
Now that you already got your dongle password. It’s time to generate registry file.
If your dongle is Sentinel SuperPro/UltraPro, please use SSP2MK_1.2 to generate registry file.

If your dongle is HASP or HASP HL then you need to use RTDumperGUI to generate registry file. Please carefully read readme.txt file before doing. For HASP (or HASP HL) dongle you must input two parts of your dongle password into two contiguous textboxes. For example, my dongle password is 725F:583A so I must input 725F into the first textbox and 583A into the second textbox.
In my case, I got registry file RTDumperGUI/hasp_725F583A/725F583A___.reg. You should rename it to 725F583A.reg and then open it and replace [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSet…] with
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetMultiKeyDumps725F583A]

– Register 725F583A.reg into Registry by right click on it and select Merge

5. Sign driver by [Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider]

You execute dseo13b.exe and do as follows:

Select [Enable Test Mode] and click Next button

Select [Sign a System File] and click Next button

An excellent modification of the Boehm fingering system, along with a healthy dose of British curmudgeonism, kept the 'improved' 1867 system alive and in production well past the middle of the 20th century.

The previous owner found this flute, black with tarnish, in a vintage instrument shop in Philadelphia. During restoration, this beautiful silver instrument slowly emerged.

The elegantly engraved barrel embouchure is surprisingly free blowing and, with assistance from very thin head and body tubing, delivers a strong bottom end. The riser is carved through a layer of wood sandwiched between the embouchure barrel and the head tube.

LEFT: Note the 'backward' layout of the non-Briccialdi thumb keys. Closing the upper key only give B natural, adding the lower gives Bb, opposite but more logical than the standard Boehm flute. The 1867 system fingering also sounds an open D without added trill keys.

RIGHT: Note the Dorus (normally open) G#. All left hand fingers down gives a G, lifting the little finger gives G# -- again, backward from the modern fingering, yet again, more logical in that the more fingers down, the lower the note. This system also allows a truer E3 to sound without added mechanism of split-E or high E facilitator.

LEFT: In the 1867 system the R1 normally controls two touches. The upper touch gives F# (and closes the open G#) while the lower touch sounds F natural. In an early modification of this flute, the upper touch was removed, requiring the use of modern split fingering for the F# (and remembering to close the open G#). The smaller photo shows a similar flute with an unaltered F# touch.

RIGHT: The logic of the open G# doesn't carry through to include an open D# -- too many objections from the old fogies, no doubt. Note the elegant, flowing R4 touches for D# and C#.

ABOVE: The close-up 'clamshell' shows the cradle supporting the low C roller hidden beneath the C# touch.

Tiny letters 'C.D.I.' are engraved on the back of the barrel. I was naturally curious if this might be the maker's initials, or perhaps a coded serial number. Eventually Mark Norman came to the rescue and let me know that when Rudall Rose Carte and Company began making metal flutes, they did indeed use a simple code based on the word 'MUSICTRADE' with M=1, U=2, S=3 etc. So 'C.D.I.' represents metal flute #594. They apparently became bored with the code or found it too cumbersome when they reached four digit numbers....

The 1867 Patent flute is in some respects superior to the Boehm flute that has become standardized today. A major drawback is the increased complexity of the mechanism. However, once it is properly set up, it is very robust and stable, requiring minimal adjustment -- almost, but not quite, exactly unlike the Windows 98 operating system.

Dating: I assume an 1867 system flute was made after 1867 :-) and prior to 1874 by which time the firm had become Rudall, Carte & Co.

The firm of Rudall & Rose, later Rudall, Rose & Carte, and finally Rudall Carte, dominated flute making in Britain for a century and a half from their founding in 1822. For much of their existence almost every professional flute player and most serious amateurs in Britain played on one of this firm’s instruments. The original firm, Rudall & Rose, produced simple-system flutes of the highest quality before they were persuaded by Richard Carte, a student of George Rudall, to begin production of Theobald Boehm’s early conical flute. The firm went on to buy the British rights to manufacture Boehm’s 1847 cylindrical flute, which is the basis of the instrument most flute players use today. Richard Carte, a brilliant businessman, joined the firm as a partner in the early 1850s and transformed them from a small business producing high- quality flutes to a hugely-successful concern that produced and sold flutes and most other instruments as well as publishing books, music and, for eight decades, The Musical Directory, an annual guide to the music business in Britain.

Right-click the solution item and choose Add | New Project.

In the Add New Project dialog box, select the Setup Project item and click OK.

For the purpose of these tutorials, I will assume you develop your games on PCs. The preferred development environment is Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2019. A free version (the Community Edition) of this software is available from Microsoft, via https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads.

Checklist:

A PC or laptop, pretty much any CPU and GPU will do
Windows 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition (Professional and Enterprise more than welcome), installed with default settings

Keep in mind you will want to install Visual Studio and programming projects on your fastest storage device – a super fast Solid State Drive (SSD) is preferred! Some people even go crazy and use RAM disks for their projects. This might not matter now but when you are hitting tens of thousands of Lines of Code (LOCs) it will save you a lot of time.

When you start Visual Studio 2019 for the first time you are greeted with this window:

Selecting not now, maybe later is luckily a perfectly viable option, so let’s go for that (no need to leave any more personal information with a tech giant than strictly necessary, right?). In the next window, you get to choose a theme. As the window says, you can always change this later, so let’s go with dark. Now we finally get into the Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

Now that you have Visual Studio up and running, select the 4th option Create a new project as pictured:

Your first adventure will be to create a new simple project using Visual Studio.

You then need to select the type of project. Because we are building a very simple project then select Empty project as you can see here:

Starting with an empty project means we do not have to delete as many things later 😉

Even an empty project will create enough directories anyway. With this option you will have x86 (for 32-bit) and x64 (for 64-bit) options – essentially a C++ console application. In selecting an empty project we want to avoid adding any ATL, MFC or SDL stuff.

You now need to change a few things in the following dialog – this is all about where you place your files.

You may choose any folder you want to create your new project.

Set the Project name to Getting Started

Set the Location to C:my_projects (or whichever folder you keep all of your programming projects).

It is not recommended to keep your projects in the Desktop folder (C:Users[username]Desktop) folder or in your Documents (C:Users[username]Documents) folder because these folders are indexed by the Microsoft indexing services to improve search performance. The indexing services will have a negative impact on the performance of the build process and for this reason, it is recommended to save your projects in a folder that is not being indexed by the indexing service.

Set the Solution name to C++ Fast Track for Games Programming

Click the Create button to create your new project!

You should see something similar to the screenshot below.

This section is completely optional but it is our preference to tidy up the IDE to make room to view the C++ source code.
Optionally, you can skip ahead to the Hello World section below.

As you can see, there is a lot of stuff on the screen. Let’s make some room:

Click on Team Explorer, then close it to get rid of it. The Team Explorer can also be hidden by selecting View > Team Explorer from the main menu.
Do the same to Toolbox and Properties.
Drag the Solution Explorer to the left of the screen.
If you don’t like toolbars and their buttons then on the main menu, click on View, go to Toolbars, and deselect Standard.

You should now have something like this:

I often see people work on the area of a postage stamp (not just when programming) due to all the toolbars: this layout prevents that. We didn’t remove anything that we need (apart from one thing), and we assumed control of the software in the process.

The one thing we are missing is two drop-down boxes (OK, so two things). We can store these next to the menu bar, so they don’t need their own toolbar.

In the main menu, select Tools > Customize and select the Commands tab. Now click on Add Command, select the Build category, and choose the Solution Configurations command. This adds the drop-down box to the left of your menu bar; click the Move Down button a few times, until it is all the way to the right. Repeat this for the Solution Platforms command.

The top of the screen now looks like this:

Now your IDE has some space to breath!
